82236 - Craft Attendant Fitter This craft attendant fitter will report to the field staff supervisor and will work within network operations based in our Eltham office. You will be a permanent employee in our UK Power Networks team. You will attract a salary of £38,434 + benefits and a bonus of 3%. Duties Ensure safe working practices are observed following Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, UK Power Networks Safe Working Practices and Procedure and following the Distribution Safety Rules. Assist the fitter, Supervisor and Engineers in the Installation, maintenance and testing of all plant, apparatus and cables associated with the Primary and Distribution network. Help with fault location and repair of all plant, apparatus and cables associated with the Grid, Primary and Distribution network. Ensure that all works are carried out in line with the Distribution Safety Rules and to demonstrate a safety culture. Use of IT equipment Undertake a system emergency storm role following network standards and safety requirements. Experience Experience of Electrical Installation works or an Electrical Improver. EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or Equivalent. Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent. CSCS/ECS Installation Electrical Card/EUSR SHEA Power or equivalent Flexible and able to work in a team environment. Ability to problem solve in a practical way and able to work under pressure. Must have a clean driving licence (HGV License would be preferable but not essential). A good understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation The successful candidate would undertake training and development to increase their knowledge and skills that could lead to progression within the organisation and may attain the higher authorisation levels, triggering salary and band progression
