Quantity Surveyor - Brickwork

I’m working with a well-established and highly regarded brickwork subcontractor who is looking to bring in an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their growing commercial team. This is a great opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation in the market, a healthy pipeline of work, and a portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The Role You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple brickwork packages from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with the operations and senior management teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably and efficiently. Key Responsibilities * Managing the commercial delivery of brickwork and masonry packages * Preparing and submitting valuations, variations, and final accounts * Reviewing and negotiating subcontract and main contract terms * Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control * Managing payments, applications, and cash flow * Identifying and pricing variations and change orders * Liaising with site teams, clients, and contractors * Supporting procurement and material buying where required * Ensuring commercial risks are identified and managed effectively What I’m Looking For * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within brickwork * Strong understanding of brickwork packages, labour, materials, and programme * Experience working for a subcontractor is essential * Good knowledge of valuations, CVRs, variations, and final accounts * Confident working independently and managing multiple live projects * Strong communication and negotiation skills * A commercially astute and proactive approach What’s on Offer * Competitive salary package * Long-term opportunity with a busy and established specialist subcontractor * Strong pipeline of secured work * Supportive team environment * Genuine opportunity to grow within the business If you’ve got the right brickwork background and are open to hearing more, I’d be happy to have a confidential chat
