Project Manager Birmingham / Bournemouth / Cheshire | Hybrid (nearest office base) I'm working with my client, an independent engineering management consultancy supporting projects across the gas sector. They're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join on an initial 12‑week contract, covering planned annual leave and supporting a portfolio of live, design‑led engineering projects. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for a Project Manager who can step in quickly, take ownership, and maintain momentum across ongoing work. The successful candidate can be based from whichever of the three offices is closest, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for clients on allocated projects Manage scope, programme, cost and risk in line with NEC3 / NEC4 contracts Coordinate multi‑disciplinary design teams and third‑party inputs Administer Early Warnings, Compensation Events and change control Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and SHEQ requirements Monitor progress, update programmes and support cost and performance reporting Key Requirements Proven Project Manager experience within an engineering consultancy environment Background in gas Strong NEC3 / NEC4 contract administration experience Degree qualified with professional membership (APM, CIOB, RICS or similar) IOSH Managing Safely Full UK driving licence and flexibility to attend sites Please click to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
