Senior Electrical Design Engineer (132kV Substations)

Employment Type: 9-12 Month Contract Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong expertise in 132kV substation design. The role will primarily focus on Protection & Control systems, while also requiring a broad understanding of other substation design disciplines. Key Responsibilities * Deliver detailed design for 132kV primary substations. * Lead and support Protection & Control (P&C) design activities. * Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation. * Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, client specifications, and safety requirements. * Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design delivery. * Provide technical support throughout project lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning. * Participate in design reviews and risk assessments. Essential Requirements * Proven experience in 132kV substation design. * Strong background in Primary Substation engineering. * Expertise in Protection & Control design. * Good understanding of broader substation design disciplines (e.g., civil, structural, electrical layouts). * Ability to produce and review high-quality technical documentation. Desirable Requirements * Experience working with a Distribution Network Operator (DNO). * Professionally registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards it
