Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Required background: Similar position with experience in new build residential schemes A career-defining opportunity for an ambitious Senior Electrical Design Engineer to take a leadership role within a growing London & Southern regional office. This well-established consultancy has secured major new-build residential and mixed-use projects across London and the South East. As a key senior appointment, you will act as the Regional Director’s right-hand person, helping lead the team and drive delivery standards across the region. The Role * Lead electrical design on large-scale new-build projects * Act as second-in-command to the Regional Director * Take responsibility for the wider team in the Director’s absence * Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers * Manage client relationships and represent the business in meetings * Resolve technical challenges and conflicts professionally and commercially * Oversee calculations, drawings, specifications, and project coordination * Support the development of regional standards, processes, and team growth About You * Strong consultancy experience in electrical building services * Proven delivery of residential and mixed-use new-build schemes * Fully proficient in Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD * Excellent client-facing skills * Confident handling of difficult conversations and conflict resolution * Able to find practical, commercially sound technical solutions * Strong communicator, both face-to-face and over the telephone * Chartered or working towards (advantageous) Why Join? * Genuine leadership opportunity within a growing regional office * Direct influence on team development and culture * Clear progression to Associate and beyond * Work on some of London’s most high-profile schemes * Be trusted with real responsibility, not just a title This is more than a design role — it’s an opportunity to lead, influence, and help shape a regional business unit
