Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer Initial 3 Month Contract Hybrid - 3 days on site Leatherhead, Surrey £58.00 Per Hour (Outside IR35) The Role * As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will support the lead engineer related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned: * Design basis, material and construction specifications * Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (in-service) phase (in-place, fatigue), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, lifting) and accidental phase (blast, fire, dropped object) for brownfield projects. * Perform detailed design of equipment supports, access platforms etc. * Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies * The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, the client, and 3rd-party contractors, and coordinating with project team members across global offices to deliver tasks within allotted timelines and budgets. The Candidate * Degree in Structural Engineering Design * Minimum experience of 12 years, having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule. * Proficient user of SACS suite of software is a prerequisite. * Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable. * In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must. * Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks * Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment If this role is of interest, please send a copy of your CV to Tom McGuire by clicking the "Apply Now" button
