Mazco Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established engineering company in Birmingham, seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to support their continued growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a passion for building relationships, winning new business, and driving revenue in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The Role As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding market presence, securing new clients, and contributing to long-term business success. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering measurable growth. Key Responsibilities * Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, networking, and lead generation * Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients * Create and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets * Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and growth opportunities * Prepare and present proposals, sales materials, and contracts * Negotiate and close high-value deals * Collaborate with internal teams (operations, NPI, finance) to ensure smooth project delivery * Monitor and report on sales performance and KPIs * Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions What’s on Offer * Salary: £40,000 per annum * Car Allowance: £350 per month * (Option of company car after successful 6-month probation) * Bonus: Up to 5% of realised profit on new business (discretionary) * Working Hours: * Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00 * Friday: 07:00 – 13:00 * Location: Birmingham office (hybrid working available after 3 months) * Holiday: 30 days including bank holidays + Christmas shutdown * Pension: Salary sacrifice scheme (5% employee / 4% employer after 3 months) * Probation: 6 months About You * Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Ability to build long-term client relationships * Commercially driven with a results-focused mindset * Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or CNC sectors is highly desirable
