Production Planner

Production Planner £35,000 - £40,000 Dudley The Role We are recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a key position responsible for coordinating the full production lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with multiple departments, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, improving processes, and ensuring seamless project delivery from design through to installation. What will you be doing? * Developing and managing production schedules across multiple live projects * Coordinating with design, sales, procurement, workshop, and installation teams to ensure smooth workflow * Monitoring stock levels and working with suppliers to avoid shortages and delays * Tracking production progress, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions * Maintaining accurate records including schedules, materials usage, and project documentation * Producing regular reports on production status, risks, and performance * Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste * Assisting with capacity planning and forecasting labour and material requirements * Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards throughout production * Collaborating with installation teams to coordinate delivery and site schedules What will you bring to the party? * Proven experience in a production planning role within manufacturing. * Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects * Experience using ERP systems, planning tools, and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) * Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and stakeholders * A proactive, analytical mindset with strong attention to detail * Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities Desirable: * Experience reading CAD drawings or technical specifications * Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles * Exposure to cost control and resource planning
