Estimator – Flooring Contractor 📍 Watford, Hertfordshire (Hybrid Working) 💰 £55,000 – £70,000 + Car / Allowance + Bonus + Pension About the Role A leading commercial flooring contractor in Watford is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This role offers autonomy, long-term stability, and exposure to a variety of projects across commercial, residential, retail, and education sectors. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders and estimates, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting pre-contract handovers to delivery teams. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for flooring projects * Interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing * Conduct value engineering and cost analysis * Support pre-contract handovers to ensure smooth transition to delivery teams * Maintain accurate tender documentation and clarify project scopes About You * Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally in flooring, fit-out, or interiors * Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost planning and pricing * Able to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Confident IT user (Excel, estimating software, etc.) * Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer * Competitive salary: £60,000 – £65,000 * Company car or car allowance * Hybrid working (office and home split) * Pension scheme and discretionary bonus * Supportive management team and clear progression opportunities
