We are partnering with a well‑established manufacturing business based in Thetford that is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer. This is a key position within a high‑volume, fast‑paced production environment, with a strong focus on equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and minimising downtime. Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off Salary: £48,451 The Role This role goes beyond day‑to‑day maintenance. As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play an active part in electrical improvement and upgrade projects, helping to enhance machine performance, safety, and long‑term reliability across the site. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production equipment Fault‑find and diagnose electrical issues, including PLCs, drives, control panels, and automation systems Support and deliver electrical projects such as machine upgrades, control modifications, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to reliability and efficiency improvement projects across the site Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and disruption Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance at all times About You Electrically qualified (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent) Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic capability Experience working on electrical projects within a manufacturing environment Background in manufacturing or FMCG environments (desirable) Basic mechanical knowledge Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player with a hands‑on approach What’s on Offer Competitive salary including shift allowance Overtime opportunities Training and development, including project exposure Stable, growing business offering long‑term career progression If you bring strong electrical expertise, enjoy working on improvement projects, and have the hands‑on capability to support a fast‑paced manufacturing operation, we’d encourage you to apply and submit your CV for consideration
