Logistics Manager - Congleton On behalf of our client, a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation, we are seeking an experienced and driven Logistics Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Planning & Operations Manager, this role is responsible for managing all site logistics activities, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and exceptional service delivery to internal stakeholders and customers. Key Responsibilities Manage all logistics operations including goods-in, goods-out, warehousing, and shipping activities Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient material flow across the site Deliver operational excellence through standardised processes and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with departmental objectives Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, stock accuracy, and efficient storage solutions Oversee import/export activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, Export Control, and ITAR (where applicable) Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers Monitor and report on key KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, cost, and productivity Implement robust stock control processes including cycle counting, discrepancy investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary logistics and stores team Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure compliance with all site standards Qualifications & Experience Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field Proven experience in a logistics management role within an aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environment Strong technical knowledge of inventory management, stock control processes, and warehouse optimisation Experience using ERP systems for data management and reporting Strong expertise across goods-in, goods-out, warehousing, shipping, and internal material movement Knowledge of Export Control and ITAR compliance requirements Strong analytical capability with experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies Experience managing KPIs, performance metrics, and operational reporting Package & Benefits Competitive salary Excellent pension scheme and life assurance 4-day working week 20 days holiday (equivalent to 5 weeks) Employee Assistance Programme Supportive working environment with a focus on wellbeing and work-life balance Regular social and wellbeing events
