Job Title: Health, Safety & Environment Advisor Reporting To: Head of HSE Job Family: HSQE Location: UK (Head Office & Project Sites) Overview An opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to support both head office and project teams in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance. The role focuses on providing guidance, assurance, and challenge to drive continuous improvement across the business. Key Responsibilities Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE management systems in line with legislation and best practice Assist in delivering HSE training and awareness programmes Conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with company, client, and legal requirements Investigate incidents, near misses, and close calls, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up actions Monitor and analyse HSE data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives Promote behavioural safety programmes and a positive safety culture Support occupational health and wellbeing initiatives across the business Provide HSE input into tenders and pre-qualification submissions Assist in implementing business-wide HSE strategy Key Skills & Experience Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and best practices Experience in construction or civil engineering environments Ability to carry out audits, inspections, and incident investigations Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Data analysis and reporting capability Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement Behaviours & Values High levels of integrity and accountability Collaborative and team-oriented mindset Innovative approach to problem-solving Strong delivery focus with a "can-do" attitude Commitment to sustainability and safe working practices Additional Information No direct reports Regular collaboration with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners PPE required when attending site
