IT Field Engineer

Role: IT Field Engineer Location: Hereford (Hybrid working) Salary: £35,000–£38,000 Benefits: Hybrid working, varied client exposure, strong team culture Our client, a leading IT services provider supporting the education sector, is hiring an IT Field Engineer to deliver on-site and remote technical support across schools and academy trusts. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse client base, playing a key role in maintaining and improving IT infrastructure within educational environments. What you’ll do Provide on-site and remote IT support to schools and academy trusts Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems Troubleshoot technical issues across a range of technologies Support IT projects, upgrades, and deployments Build strong relationships with end users and key stakeholders You’ll work closely with internal support teams and education clients to ensure reliable, high-quality IT services are delivered. What we’re looking for Proven experience in a field-based IT support role Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, networks, and hardware Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach Experience working within schools or academy trusts is highly desirable.
