The Role – What you’ll be doing As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer at Fixfire®, you will: * Carry out planned annual and intermediate servicing and maintenance of: * Fire alarm systems * Emergency lighting * Nurse call / patient call systems * Associated life safety equipment * Diagnose faults and complete remedial works to a high professional standard * Attend emergency and non‑routine service calls when required * Participate in the on‑call rota, providing reliable out‑of‑hours support to customers * Certify all works in line with BS 5839‑1:2025 and other applicable standards * Deliver work efficiently while upholding Fixfire’s quality, compliance and customer‑first values * Accurately complete service documentation and reports using company systems * This role is about doing things properly – safely, compliantly, and with pride. What we’re looking for You’ll be a good fit for this role if you have: * Previous experience maintaining fire alarm or similar life & property protection systems * Strong working knowledge of fire alarm systems and relevant industry standards * Relevant industry qualifications (or working towards them) * A professional, well‑organised approach and good communication skills * A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to customer service Desirable (but not essential): * Experience with Access Control, Nurse Call, Intruder Alarms or CCTV * Familiarity with systems such as Advanced, Protec, Morley, Gent and patient call systems Security Screening This is a full‑time, permanent role. Due to the environments we work in, enhanced security screening will be required.
