Hardware Design Engineer

Hardware Design Engineer Location: Clacton-on-Sea, UK Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + benefits Are you a Hardware Design Engineer looking for more ownership, more variety, and the chance to see your designs go from concept through to production? What you'll be doing You will play a key role in the design and delivery of electronic hardware, with responsibility and autonomy from day one: Leading the design and development of analogue and digital hardware Creating schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer Taking ownership of projects from concept through to production Working closely with product management to define specifications Carrying out component selection, simulation, and performance analysis Developing and executing test and validation plans Debugging and validating hardware using lab equipment Collaborating with software and mechanical teams for system integration Supporting manufacturing, NPI, and production teams Contributing to design reviews and continuous improvement What you'll bring This role would suit someone who enjoys both technical depth and project ownership: Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience Around 2-5 years' experience in hardware design Strong understanding of circuit design, power supplies, and signal integrity Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) Experience working in cross-functional engineering teamsNice to have: Altium Designer experience Exposure to RF design Additional information: This role is UK-based No sponsorship is available for this position Relocation assistance can be provided Why this role?
