Site Agent – Highways Projects  Location: Guildford / Chichester We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major highways infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex schemes including earthworks, drainage, surfacing, and structural packages within Tier 1 and Tier 2 environments. The Role As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring successful delivery of works safely, on time, and within budget. You will play a key role in coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders across a fast-paced highways project. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all site activities on highways projects Lead and coordinate site teams, engineers, and subcontractors Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards Monitor programme progress and drive delivery targets Manage RAMS, permits, and site documentation Liaise with clients, design teams, and senior management Oversee works including earthworks, drainage, structures, and surfacing Requirements Proven experience as a Site Agent / Senior Site Agent on highways projects Strong background working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors Solid understanding of highways construction methods and sequencing Experience managing multiple site disciplines (earthworks, structures, drainage, etc.) Strong leadership and communication skills SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White), and relevant civil engineering qualification preferred What’s on Offer Opportunity to work on major UK infrastructure highways projects Competitive salary and benefits package Long-term pipeline of secured work Strong progression opportunities within a leading contractor
