Senior MEP Buyer

We are working with a growing and well established M&E contractor who are looking to appoint a Senior M&E Buyer to take full ownership of the procurement function. This is a standalone role, ideal for someone looking to step up and lead the department, with full responsibility for procurement strategy, supplier management and cost control across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the full procurement function across the business * Source, negotiate and procure mechanical and electrical materials and subcontract packages * Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and efficiency * Build and manage strong supplier and subcontractor relationships * Take ownership of supplier performance, pricing agreements and framework negotiations * Work closely with commercial and operational teams to support project delivery * Oversee purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance and cost control * Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for value engineering * Implement and improve procurement processes and systems (COINS or similar) Requirements: * Proven experience as a Senior M&E Buyer within construction * Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials and supply chain * Experience operating in a standalone or lead role (or ready to step up) * Strong negotiation, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills * Experience using COINS or similar procurement systems * Ability to work autonomously and drive the procurement function forward What’s on Offer: * Opportunity to head up and shape the procurement function * High level of autonomy and responsibility * Work across a diverse range of projects and sectors * Clear opportunity for progression as the business grows
