Paint Line Operative (Powder Coating) Location: Buntingford, Hertfordshire Salary: £13.50 per hour | 40 hrs/week | Shifts: Monday to Friday |Early / Lates Rotating Contract: Temp-to-Perm We're recruiting a Paint Line Operative to join a busy powder coating department. This is a hands-on role supporting the paint line to hit production targets while maintaining excellent quality and safe working practices. What you'll be doing Preparing parts for coating (cleaning/degreasing, masking/plugging as required) Hanging/racking parts onto jigs and loading/unloading the conveyor line Supporting powder coating processes (booth housekeeping and powder handling once trained) Monitoring line flow and curing ovens, reporting any issues or defects Carrying out visual quality checks (coverage, finish, colour, contamination) and recording results Packing/labelling finished components to job card/customer requirements Keeping the work area clean and following all site H&S procedures What we're looking for Essential: Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment (powder coating/paint line experience is a strong advantage) Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment Comfortable with manual handling and standing/walking for long periods Basic literacy/numeracy for paperwork, labels and checks Desirable: Powder coating line experience (hanging, masking, prep, inspection) FLT licence (Counterbalance/Reach) What you'll get Competitive hourly pay + overtime where available Temp to Perm Training to do Powder Coating Interested?
