Senior Design Engineer – MedTech (Outside IR35)

Contract Design Engineer – MedTech (Outside IR35) ARCA is supporting an innovative MedTech organisation developing next-generation medical devices, looking to bring in an experienced Senior Design Engineer to support a key development phase. This is a hands-on role across the full product lifecycle – from concept through to design refinement and validation, within a regulated environment. The role: * Mechanical design and development of medical devices * Creating and iterating CAD models and technical drawings * Supporting design verification & validation (DV&V) * Collaborating with R&D, QA/RA, and manufacturing teams * Contributing to design documentation in line with regulatory standards Experience: * Design Engineer within MedTech / medical devices * Strong CAD capability (SolidWorks or similar) * Experience working within ISO 13485 environments * Understanding of design controls, risk (ISO 14971) * Familiarity with verification & validation processes * Able to operate effectively in fast-paced, project-led environments Nice to have: * Electromechanical or drug delivery device experience * Exposure to manufacturing processes (e.g. injection moulding, machining) * Knowledge of FDA / MDR requirements The details: * Outside IR35 * Hybrid working (London-based, some on-site) * Initial 3 month contract initially with potential to extend * Start within 2–4 weeks If you would like to know more details about this Senior Design Engineer contract, please apply for immediate consideration
