Traffic/Highways Project Engineer Location: South Midlands/Hybrid Rate: £(phone number removed) – £(phone number removed) + Benefits We are seeking an experienced Traffic/Highways Project Engineer for an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-profile Rail scheme. This role offers a chance to work as the end client, ensuring that consultancies and contractors deliver high-quality traffic and highway designs in accordance with the contract. Key Responsibilities: * Assuring the delivery of Traffic Management, New Road Design, Traffic Flow Forecasts, and Planning. * Ensure contractors and consultancies meet contractual and design standards. * Solve problems effectively by working closely with contractors and consultants. * Conduct site visits and work from contractor compound offices as required. What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in Traffic Management Design, Road Impact Assessments, and Highways Maintenance. * Strong knowledge of S278 agreements and a solid understanding of Traffic Management Design. * Strong understanding of Local Authority Traffic/Highways * Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills. * Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams. * A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
