Accounts Associate

Associate – Accounts & Business Advisory Edinburgh, Scotland Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week) Overview We are currently recruiting for an Accounts & Business Advisory Associate to join our clients Edinburgh team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accountant to develop their technical skills within a supportive, collaborative environment while gaining exposure to a varied client base. About The Role As an Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accounting and advisory services to clients. You will work as part of a friendly and dynamic team, contributing to both compliance and day-to-day client support activities while progressing through your professional qualifications. Key Responsibilities Include * Prepare annual statutory accounts for a range of clients * Assist with the production of management accounts * Complete and submit VAT returns * Carry out bookkeeping and transaction processing * Work extensively with cloud-based accounting software (Xero) * Support clients with day-to-day accounting queries * Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the team * Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant standards About You * Currently studying ACCA (or equivalent), with study support required * Previous experience in an accounts or practice environment * Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting tools * High attention to detail and good organisational skills * A collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude * Strong communication skills and willingness to learn What’s on Offer * Study support package * Exposure to a wide range of clients and industries * Supportive and collaborative team culture * Clear pathway for career progression within the firm * Flexible and modern working environment Career Development This role offers a clear progression path, with opportunities to: * Develop technical accounting expertise * Build client-facing experience * Progress into a Senior role as qualifications and experience grow Please note that this role does not offer visa sponsorship.
