Reception Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about early years education? Desian Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support a Reception class in a welcoming Wallasey primary school. The role We are looking for a general classroom teaching assistant to work part-time in a vibrant and supportive Reception class. This long-term position offers consistency and the opportunity to become an integral part of the school community. The working hours of this role are Monday-Friday 8.30am-12.30pm term time. Key Responsibilities: * Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS curriculum activities * Assisting with early maths and literacy development * Encouraging positive behaviour and social skills * Helping to prepare resources and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment * Providing one-to-one or small group support when needed * Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Requirements: * Experience working with children in an early years setting (private day nursery or primary school setting) * A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing * A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Desian Education) * Relevant EYFS qualification What We Offer: * Long-term placement with consistent hours * Competitive weekly pay * Ongoing support from your dedicated Desian Education consultant * Exclusive access to jobs via our partnership schools * Ongoing professional development opportunities
