Warehouse operative - Kemsley Mill

Do you have experience within a Production or warehousing environment? Are you based in or around Sittingbourne? We have a temporary role available within DS Smith’s Paper Mill. The successful applicant will be a good communicator who is proactive, reliable and thrives in a production environment. Role: Warehouse operative Location: DS Smith Paper, Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne ME10 2TD Rate: £12.72 per hour days £13.91 per hour Nights £16.00 per hour on the clamp Shift Patterns: 62 hours 2 weeks of days, Mon-Fri 5.30am-17.30pm 2 weeks of nights, Mon-Fri 17.30pm - 5.30am 1 week of days, Mon-Thurs (Fri off) 5.30am - 17.30pm Start: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks) Responsibilities: ● Manually loading and unloading goods ● Scanning items ● Ensuring all materials are secured ● Managing the movement of vehicles in the bay and communicating with drivers. ● Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and updating inventory records ● Following appropriate procedures as trained at all times ● Adhering to a high level of UK Health and Safety at all times ● Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the department Essential requirements: ● Previous experience within a production, machine operation or industrial environment ● Ability to perform physically demanding, manual work for extended periods. ● Strong attention to detail ● Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation ● A proactive approach to tasks and ability to work on own initiative ● Approachable individual that can also work as a team ● Strong verbal and written communication skills Benefits: ● Advice and editing on your current CV ● Dedicated team throughout your journey within the role ● Paid holiday ● Exclusive online services including restaurant and retail discounts ● Chance to receive £300* for referring a friend ● Opportunity for progression into permanent roles ● Competitive rates of pay Does this role sound interesting?
