HGV Technician Location: Aberdeen Salary: £23.33 per hour + £2000 joining bonus Shifts: Nightshift 38 hours per week The Role of the HGV Technician We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy depot working on a modern fleet of buses and coaches (PSV). This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.   Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on PSV vehicles Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults Complete defect repairs and breakdown rectification Perform brake, suspension, engine, and gearbox work Conduct MOT preparation and safety inspections Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults Ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA and company standards Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced depot environment  What We’re Looking For from the HGV Technician Experience as an HGV / PSV Technician or Mechanic NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (preferred) Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience working on buses or coaches (desirable but not essential) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to health & safety and quality standardsIf you’re an experienced HGV Technician looking to work on buses and coaches in a stable and rewarding role, apply today with your CV or contact us for more information
