BMS Commsioning Engineer

Job Description: BEMS Commissioning Engineer (North) Job Type: Full Time Location: Northern Region, UK We’re seeking an ambitious and collaborative professional to join our growing Northern division. What You’ll Need Proven experience in BEMS commissioning and troubleshooting within commercial and industrial environments Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, and control strategies Experience with Trend, Schneider, and Sigma systems (preferred) Ability to configure and programme BEMS components, including sensors, controllers, and software interfaces Familiarity with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and Ethernet/IP Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Highly organised with a keen eye for detail in project delivery A collaborative, team-oriented mindset Knowledge of energy efficiency practices, sustainability standards, and UK regulations (advantageous) Full UK driving licence What You’ll Be Doing Delivering a best-in-class service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction Conducting site inspections and building system assessments (HVAC, lighting, and controls) to identify opportunities for BEMS integration and optimisation Working closely with project managers and clients to define project scope and requirements Developing and implementing commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules in line with industry standards Configuring and programming BEMS hardware and software for seamless system integration Performing functional testing to ensure systems operate correctly and efficiently Diagnosing and resolving technical issues during commissioning and post-installation Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise system performance Providing training and technical support to clients and end users Producing comprehensive documentation, including reports, manuals, and as-built drawings Keeping up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices Supporting continuous improvement and development of BEMS capabilities What You’ll Get Competitive, industry-leading salary Company car or car allowance Local travel wherever possible (typically within 1.5 hours of your home) Private healthcare for you and your family, including access to an online GP Annual bonus scheme Health rewards programme (including discounts on sportswear, Apple Watches, cinema tickets, and more) Long service rewards, including additional annual leave after 5 years Cycle to Work scheme Personal development plan Ongoing investment in training, including BCIA courses and professional development Employee referral scheme with financial incentives Supportive team environment with strong staff retention
