Project Director – Commercial Fit-Out Location: UK (Projects Nationwide) Sector: Commercial Interiors / Workplace Fit-Out About the Role We are looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to lead and deliver high-quality workplace and commercial interior projects across our growing portfolio. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple fit-out projects, ensuring they are completed on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Director will play a key role from early client engagement through to project completion, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects meet both commercial objectives and end-user expectations. Strong leadership, clear communication, and proven experience within the commercial interiors or construction sector are essential. Key Responsibilities * Lead the successful delivery of multiple commercial fit-out and workplace projects from concept through to completion. * Act as a senior client interface, building strong and lasting relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. * Provide strategic leadership to project teams, supporting collaboration across design, pre-construction, commercial, and delivery functions. * Oversee project programmes, budgets, and risk management, ensuring projects meet commercial and operational targets. * Ensure projects are delivered in line with quality, safety, and compliance standards. * Support business development and client growth, identifying opportunities for repeat work and strengthening key relationships. * Provide mentorship and leadership to Project Managers and delivery teams, driving performance and continuous improvement. * Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the business, supporting operational strategy and project delivery best practice. Experience & Skills * Proven experience within the commercial interiors, workplace fit-out, or construction sector. * Previous experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Pre-Construction Manager, with progression into leadership roles. * Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to completion and handover. * Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted long-term relationships. * Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, programmes, and project risk. * Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Excellent communication and leadership abilities. * Hybrid working out of Birmingham office / WFH - 2 days a week in office Please apply below and get in touch with Heather Duncan for more information
