Senior Mechanical Building Services Manager (BSM) – Life Sciences Project Reading, UK Salary: Up to £90,000 + Package Are you an experienced Mechanical Building Services Manager looking to take the lead on a flagship life sciences development? We are seeking a high-calibre professional to join a major £18m MEP complex project within a large-scale life science park, delivering cutting-edge facilities in a technically demanding environment. The Role As the Senior Mechanical BSM, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a complex, high-specification project. Working within a commercial office environment, you will oversee all mechanical aspects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage all mechanical building services activities on site * Coordinate MEP design, installation, and commissioning phases * Drive programme delivery while maintaining quality and compliance * Manage subcontractors, ensuring performance and safety standards * Collaborate with project stakeholders including consultants and client teams * Oversee budgets, procurement, and value engineering opportunities * Ensure full compliance with UK building regulations and industry standards Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical BSM or Senior Mechanical Manager * Strong background delivering complex MEP packages (ideally £10m+) * Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or high-spec environments preferred * Excellent commercial awareness and project delivery skills * Strong leadership and communication abilities * Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) What’s on Offer * Competitive salary up to £90,000 * Attractive benefits package * Opportunity to work on a landmark life sciences development * Career progression within a growing and innovative sector Apply Now If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and work on a technically challenging, high-profile project, we’d love to hear from you
