Canteen Cook We are recruiting a Canteen Cook for our reputable client on a permanent basis. Salary: £13.66 per hour Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm Bonus: Up to 5% paid quarterly Pension: Matched up to 7.5% Role: Canteen Cook About our Client hiring a Canteen Cook: Our client is seeking a reliable and hands-on Canteen Cook to support the daily running of a busy canteen environment. This permanent opportunity will involve supporting the Canteen Supervisor on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities as a Canteen Cook: * Carry out opening and closing procedures * Support the daily management of the kitchen * Prepare and cook food to the required standard * Handle food ordering and stock control * Process card payments * Support food service counter sales * Maintain kitchen hygiene standards * Replenish, stock and clean vending machines * Carry out general cleaning of tables within the canteen Requirements for the Canteen Cook role: * Minimum 3 years’ experience within hospitality or catering * Positive attitude and willingness to learn * Able to work 5 days per week in a Monday to Friday role * Good general kitchen, food preparation and cleaning standards * Comfortable working in a customer-facing canteen environment * Able to provide 2 references * 5-year work history required What is Offered for the Canteen Cook role: * Permanent opportunity * Monday to Friday working pattern * No evenings * No weekends * No bank holidays * 30 contracted hours per week * Uniform provided * Bonus up to 5% paid quarterly * Pension matched up to 7.5
