Contracts Surveyor 📍 Belfast + UK & ROI Project Sites About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Surveyor to join a dynamic construction team based in Belfast. Reporting to the Senior Contracts Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering efficient surveying functions across allocated projects, ensuring strong commercial performance and effective cost control. The role will involve working both from Head Office and across project sites throughout the UK and ROI as required. Key Responsibilities Manage procurement of sub-contract packages in collaboration with Estimating, Purchasing, and Contracts teams Analyse contract documentation, identifying key clauses (e.g. BREEAM, Section 106) and assessing associated risks Support pre-start processes, ensuring accurate and timely flow of information Evaluate and appoint subcontractors from tender submissions Oversee allocation and coordination of work packages Manage variations, cost control, and commercial aspects of site operations Prepare subcontractor payments, valuations, and cost reports Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain accurate project records Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards Contribute to ESG initiatives and ongoing professional development activities About You Essential Experience Minimum 4 years' experience in surveying and project coordination At least 2 years managing work packages on construction projects Strong understanding of the construction process Experience with NEC3 contracts (preferred) Proven ability to negotiate with subcontractors Experience preparing and presenting reports to senior stakeholders Desirable Experience Experience in appraisals and cost analysis Knowledge of contract law and building regulations Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings Background in construction and/or fit-out projects Health & safety knowledge Qualifications Essential: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS/CIOB recognised) CSR or CSCS Card COSHH AccreditationDesirable: Postgraduate qualification in Surveying RICS Chartered or CIOB membership SMSTS/SSTS certification First Aid at Work qualification Skills & Attributes Strong relationship-building and communication skills Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Problem-solving and decision-making ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Knowledge of Gateway software (desirable) Additional Requirements Eligibility to work in the UK and ROI Flexibility to travel and work away from home when requiredPlease contact me directly or send your email
