Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Process Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and controlling chemical processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Duties * Monitor and operate chemical processing equipment in accordance with safety standards and operational procedures. * Adjust process parameters to optimise production efficiency and product quality. * Conduct routine inspections of equipment and pipelines, identifying any potential issues or hazards. * Collect, record, and analyse data related to process performance to ensure compliance with specifications. * Implement safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and emergency response procedures. * Maintain accurate documentation of process activities, including logs and reports. * Collaborate with maintenance teams to perform scheduled repairs or troubleshooting as required. * Ensure adherence to environmental regulations concerning waste disposal and emissions. Requirements * Proven experience in chemical processing or related industrial environment is desirable. * Strong understanding of chemical safety standards and procedures. * Ability to interpret technical diagrams, process flowcharts, and safety documentation. * Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. * Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. * Flexibility to work shifts, including nights or weekends if necessary. * Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or equivalent are preferred. * Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting purposes.
