Technologist

We are supporting a global food business in the search for a Technologist to join their growing technical team. This is a customer-facing technical role sitting at the heart of product quality, compliance, and new product development. You’ll work closely with customers, internal teams, and manufacturing sites to ensure products meet the highest standards across safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Customer Technical Management Manage day-to-day technical relationships with key customer accounts Interpret and communicate customer requirements effectively Ensure all technical deliverables are met within agreed deadlines Specifications & Documentation Complete and maintain customer specifications and technical documentation Manage data across customer portals and internal systems Produce reports including KPIs, audits, and compliance documentation NPD & Product Compliance Support new product development from concept through to launch Ensure all products meet quality, safety, and legal standards Review product artwork and labelling for UK compliance Audits & Quality Support customer audits and site visits Manage customer complaints from investigation through to resolution Support product withdrawals or recalls where required Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with internal teams, factories, and supply chain partners Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business About You Degree in Food Science (or related discipline) Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, BRC) Experience working with UK retailer / foodservice specifications Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Highly organised with strong attention to detail Desirable: Knowledge of food labelling legislation Experience within dairy products Additional language skills (French or Italian) What’s in it for you? £39,000 salary + 10% bonus 6% employer pension (matched) Private medical insurance Life assurance & income protection 26 days holiday + flexi-time Exposure to NPD, retailer standards, and customer-facing projects Clear opportunity for progression within a global food business Apply Now If you’re a Technologist looking to step into a more commercially focused, customer-facing role, we’d love to hear from you
