Become an Outreach Tutor with 1st Staff! Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEN and SEMH needs? Are you local to Harlow, Essex? Join 1st Staff and make a genuine impact on young people’s learning and development by delivering personalised 1:1 tuition in Math’s and English. We are seeking patient and committed educators who ideally have experience as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Mentor, SEN/SEMH specialist or Tutor. Role Job Title: Outreach Tutor Location: Face to face, in learner’s homes, local library or community centre in Harlow Hours: Flexible, part-time or full-time Start Date: ASAP Subjects: English and Maths As an Outreach Tutor, you will deliver tailored tuition sessions to young people unable to access mainstream education. This may be because they have challenging behaviour, been excluded or have SEN and SEMH needs. Most of our referrals are 10 – 15 hours per week, so full-time tutors can typically support multiple students and work up to 30 – 35 hours per week. This is an incredibly rewarding role, where you can help young people overcome barriers, instill confidence and empower them.
