Accounts / Finance Manager - Construction

Job Title: Accounts / Finance Manager Location: Bromsgrove (Office-Based) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Company We are a growing construction company based in Bromsgrove, delivering high-quality projects across the region. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Accounts / Finance Manager with a strong background in the construction industry to oversee our financial operations. The Role As Accounts / Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the company’s finances, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations, and supporting the leadership team with accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities * Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including purchase and sales ledger * Manage CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) processes, including subcontractor verification and monthly returns * Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations * Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports * Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasting * Manage payroll and liaise with external accountants/auditors * Ensure financial controls and procedures are maintained and improved * Support business decision-making with financial insights Requirements * Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry (essential) * Strong working knowledge of CIS and VAT regulations * Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred What We Offer * Competitive salary package * Stable, growing business environment * Opportunity to play a key role in company growth * Supportive and collaborative team How to Apply Please submit your CV along with a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience
