Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 plus company van/car allowance Job Title: Structural Examiner (STE5) Location: Site based in the Southeast (Kent / Sussex mainly) Working Pattern: Full time (including nights and weekends as required) This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established rail consultancy supporting ongoing examination works across key routes in the Southeast. Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, the team is looking for an experienced Structural Examiner who can operate independently and deliver high-quality examinations from day one. You will be responsible for carrying out detailed structural examinations in line with Network Rail standards, ensuring safety, compliance and accurate reporting across a range of assets. Key Responsibilities Undertake structural examinations in accordance with STE5 competency Carry out inspections across rail infrastructure assets Produce clear and accurate reports in line with industry standards Work safely within possessions, including nights and weekends Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery Essential Requirements STE5 competency (essential) Valid PTS Minimum 2+ years’ experience in rail examinations Full UK driving licence Ability to work independently and hit the ground running Desirable Strong familiarity with Network Rail standards and reporting systems This role is well suited to an experienced examiner who is confident working autonomously and is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within a busy and growing team.
