Estimator - Roofing Commercial and Industrial Portsmouth Salary up to £80,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension Blaymires Recruitment is representing a specialist commercial roofing contractor based near Portsmouth who is searching for an experienced Estimator to join the business The company is a leading specialist in commercial and industrial roofing and envelope services, undertaking projects ranging from £50K to £1.5M. This is a great opportunity for an Estimator or Estimator/Surveyor to join a steadily growing and stable business. As a Roofing Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing roof tenders and promoting a high-quality range of various roofing contract services. Key Responsibilities of the Roofing Estimator : * Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements. * Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes. * Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options. * Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals in a timely manner. * Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference. * Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide regular reports to management. * Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required. Requirements of the Roofing Estimator : * Proven experience in pricing Roofing projects. * Strong knowledge of roofing materials, methods, and techniques. * Proficient in using estimating software and tools. * Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. * Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload. * Strong communication and negotiation skills.
