Trainee Lift Engineer Trainee Stairlift Engineer, Home Lift Engineer, Mobility Engineer Tonbridge, Kent Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 basic + benefits Benefits: Attractive overtime rates; Travel time paid door-to-door; All travel expenses covered; Commission scheme; Very low call-out requirement (approx. 1 in every 3 weeks); 25 days holiday + bank holidays; Company pension scheme; NVQ 2 training available Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with a reputable independent mobility engineering company in Kent, now looking to recruit a Trainee Lift Engineer to join their growing team. This role is service and repair only – no installations required. The position will involve assisting with the service and repair of both through-the-floor home lifts and stairlifts, covering a localised patch across Southeast England. Commutable from: Tonbridge, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Chatham, Dartford, Rainham, Sittingbourne, Ashford, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough, Trainee Lift Engineer Responsibilities: Assisting with: * Service and repair of straight and curved stairlifts from multiple manufacturers * Service and repair of through-the-floor home lifts * Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown visits * Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely * Deliver high levels of customer service at all times * Complete accurate service records and adhere to safety standards * Attend occasional call-outs (approx. 1 every 3 weeks) The Ideal Trainee Lift Engineer: * Minimum 1 years’ experience working in an electrical or mechanical role * Strong mechanical and electrical skill set – ESSENTIAL * Electrical qualifications (18th Edition) – ESSENTIAL * Willing to be trained with stairlifts or home lifts * Experience with through-the-floor lifts, platform lifts, hoists or similar – DESIRABLE * NVQ Level 2 in Stairlift Engineering – DESIRABLE * CSCS and/or SSSTS – DESIRABLE * Full UK Driving Licence – ESSENTIAL This role is ideal for those with an electrical background who are keen to join the home lift and mobility engineering industry.
