Interim Class 2D+ Building Control Surveyor 📍 North East ⏳ 12-Month Initial Contract (High Likelihood of Extension) 💷 Up to £65 per hour We are currently seeking an experienced Class 2D+ Building Control Surveyor for an interim opportunity based in the North East. This is an initial 12-month contract, with a strong view to extension due to ongoing workload. The Role This is a hybrid role offering a balanced mix of site and home-based work: * 4/5 days per week carrying out site inspections * Opportunity to move to full-time working depending on service needs Key Responsibilities * Carrying out site inspections across a range of building types * Assessing compliance with Building Regulations * Plan checking and providing technical advice * Liaising with applicants, contractors, and internal stakeholders * Ensuring works meet statutory and safety standards Requirements * Must be Class 2D+ registered with the BSR * Proven experience within Building Control * Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and legislation * Ability to work autonomously in an interim capacity * Full UK driving licence (due to site visits) What’s on Offer * Competitive rate of up to £65 per hour * Flexible hybrid working arrangement * Long-term potential beyond the initial contract * Immediate or short-notice start welcomed If you’re an experienced Building Control professional looking for a well-paid interim role with flexibility and longevity, this is an excellent opportunity
