Registered Manager / Service Manager – Tier 4 Step-Down Sutton | £80,000 – £100,000 per annum This isn’t a “keep things ticking over” kind of role. This is where leadership really matters. We’re recruiting for a specialist Tier 4 step-down children’s home supporting young people transitioning from inpatient CAMHS — or preventing admission altogether. It’s complex, high-stakes, and incredibly rewarding. What You’ll Do You’ll lead from the front — creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic home for young people with: * Complex mental health needs * Emotional dysregulation * Self-harm behaviours * Trauma histories and placement instability You will: * Hold Ofsted registration and ensure full regulatory compliance * Lead a skilled team delivering trauma-informed, psychologically informed care * Balance risk management with real relationships * Drive the home as a genuine step-down pathway back into the community What You’ll Own Everything that matters: * Compliance & safeguarding * Operations & quality * Team leadership & culture * Outcomes & financial oversight Must-Haves (no wiggle room here) * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare * Experience in high-complexity residential or therapeutic settings * Strong grasp of CAMHS pathways and risk * Leadership that’s calm, credible, and human 💬 Why This Role?
