Contracts Manager (Construction)


Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Contracts Manager to oversee multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires a client-facing professional who can confidently manage stakeholders, coordinate project teams, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Company Overview We are a construction company specialising in high-end residential and commercial projects, delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Our projects typically range in value from £250,000 to £5 million, and we pride ourselves on professionalism, attention to detail, and strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities * Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, typically valued between £250k – £5m. * Oversee project delivery from pre-construction through to completion and handover. * Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. * Produce and manage programme updates and progress reports using Microsoft Projects. * Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact programme or cost. * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and professional relationships. * Lead regular client and internal progress meetings. * Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures. * Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy. * Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on track. * Provide clear communication and reporting to senior management. Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry. * Experience delivering high-end residential or commercial projects. * Ability to manage projects ranging from £250k – £5m in value. * Proficient in Microsoft Projects for programme management and reporting. * Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills. * Highly proactive with strong problem-solving abilities. * Excellent organisation and time management skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. * Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery.
