Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Primary School Location: Watford / Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Contract Type: Full Time - Term Time Only Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Start Date: asap Salary: £90- £120 per day About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to work within a primary school in the Watford or Hemel Hempstead area. This full-time, term-time role involves supporting pupils in the classroom who require additional help with their learning. The successful candidate may work with small groups of pupils or provide 1:1 support for a child with additional or special educational needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing within a positive school environment. Key Responsibilities Support pupils in the classroom to help them engage with lessons and activities Provide 1:1 support for pupils who may have additional needs Assist the class teacher with learning activities and classroom organisation Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills Support children with special educational needs (SEN) where required Encourage a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working with children A caring, patient, and supportive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff An interest in supporting children with additional needs or SEN Requirements Must hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one before starting. Must be able to work full time Must be able to provide two working professional references within the last 2 years. INDHBB
