Head of Operations


HEAD OF OPERATIONS - LONDON BASED INSURANCE OPERATION - FAST-GROWING GROUP DYNAMIC - NEWLY CREATED ROLE - COMPETITIVE SALARY The Head of Operations will be responsible for building and managing the operational infrastructure across the parent company and supporting multiple portfolio companies operating in the international insurance intermediary and MGA sectors. The role will focus on scaling operational capability, integrating acquisitions, and implementing consistent governance frameworks across underwriting agencies, brokers, and specialist intermediaries. This position requires deep knowledge of insurance operations, delegated authority structures, and London Market infrastructure, the role includes: * Design and implement group operational frameworks across portfolio companies * Establish best-practice processes for underwriting, broking, compliance, and delegated authority management * Ensure operational scalability as new businesses are acquired or launched * Lead operational integration of newly acquired MGAs and intermediaries * Align systems, reporting, and governance across the platform * Support due diligence on operational infrastructure in acquisition targets * Oversee implementation and optimisation of:Underwriting platforms, Delegated authority systems, Data and reporting infrastructure * Drive adoption of digital workflows and operational automation * Ensure portfolio companies operate within Lloyd’s and regulatory frameworks * Standardise operational risk management across entities * Maintain robust operational reporting for board and investors We are looking for someone who has forged a strong career in the insurance arena and has gained expert knowledge on process development, compliance and implementation of strategy, ideally you will: * Have proven experience in insurance operations or platform management across multiple streams, including: MGA platforms, Wholesale broking, London Market intermediaries * Have a strong understanding of: Delegated authority, Lloyd’s / London Market processes, Insurance operational infrastructure, Experience integrating acquisitions or scaling insurance platforms, Bordereaux production / reporting, Binder terms of trade * Be a strategic thinker with operational discipline * Comfortable operating in entrepreneurial growth environments * Ability to work across multiple independent businesses * Strong stakeholder management with CEOs and investors If this is the type of environment where you have the experience and skills and are looking to create a new opportunity from inception then we'd be keen to hear from you.
