Manufacturing Supervisor


Winsearch is working with a leading advanced engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a production team within a complex engineering environment. The role will focus on ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of manufacturing operations while maintaining high standards of quality, cost control and on-time delivery. This position will play a key role in driving operational performance on the shopfloor, leading production teams and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing activities. The Role The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for leading and supporting a manufacturing operations team to deliver finished products safely, on time and to the required quality standards. The role involves managing resources, supporting workforce development and ensuring compliance with company safety, quality and operational procedures. You will work closely with production, engineering and planning teams to ensure production schedules are achieved and to drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and lead safety initiatives within the team Lead manufacturing teams to deliver products to required cost, quality and schedule targets Monitor schedule adherence and implement recovery plans or short interval control where required Manage and deploy resources effectively to achieve production targets Support workforce flexibility and redeploy resources across business areas where required Manage team absence, including holidays, sickness and return-to-work procedures Ensure team capability and competence levels support operational targets through training and development Provide daily reporting on operational performance and key business measures Ensure adherence to company Quality Management Systems and manufacturing procedures Maintain team capability and capacity to meet programme requirements Deliver daily shift briefings to communicate operational priorities and business updates Monitor and communicate key performance indicators including SQCDP metrics Carry out regular workplace audits to ensure standards are maintained Requirements Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisor or team leadership role Strong understanding of health and safety management within manufacturing environments Experience leading manufacturing teams within aerospace, automotive or similar engineering sectors Experience managing production schedules and recovery plans Strong resource planning and team capability management experience Experience producing and reporting operational KPIs Working knowledge of SAP Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Knowledge of maintenance planning and preventative maintenance activities Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems Experience conducting employee performance reviews Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality and production teams Full UK driving licence Desirable • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification INDWIN Our clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
