Quantity Surveyor – East Kilbride – Refurbishment / Roofing / Cladding / Construction East Kilbride | Projects Across Scotland & UK Competitive Salary + Car Allowance + Progression We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established principal contractor based in East Kilbride delivering refurbishment, roofing, cladding, coatings and construction projects across Scotland and the UK. This opportunity would suit a Quantity Surveyor with main contractor experience who wants to work across a range of sectors including refurbishment, roofing & cladding, specialist coatings, technical refurbishment and general construction projects. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, the business is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in East Kilbride and take responsibility for multiple live projects. The Role – Quantity Surveyor The Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial delivery of refurbishment and construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. Projects are delivered across all areas of the business including: * Refurbishment * Roofing & Cladding * Specialist Coatings * Technical Refurbishment * Public Sector Frameworks * General Construction Key responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor: * Cost planning, estimating and budgeting * Subcontractor procurement and negotiation * Interim valuations and variations * NEC and JCT contract administration * Monthly cost reporting * Cashflow forecasting * Risk and opportunity management * Final accounts The successful Quantity Surveyor will work closely with Project Managers and senior management to ensure projects are delivered commercially and in line with contract requirements. About You – Quantity Surveyor * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar * Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor or principal contractor * Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts * Experience delivering refurbishment or construction projects * Commercially aware with strong negotiation skills * Able to manage multiple projects Desirable experience: * Refurbishment / Roofing / Cladding / Planned Maintenance * Public sector or framework projects * Experience working on contractor projects across multiple sectors What’s On Offer * Competitive salary depending on experience * Car allowance or company vehicle * Pension scheme * Ongoing professional development * Secure long-term workload * Clear progression within the commercial team * Opportunity to work across refurbishment, roofing, cladding and construction projects
