Senior Town Planner

Senior Town Planner Location: London Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading property and advisory consultancy in their search for a Senior Town Planner to join their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chartered planning professional to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will provide strategic planning advice to high-profile clients, helping to navigate complex planning challenges across London and the South East. The Role As a Senior Town Planner, you will manage a variety of planning projects, providing expert advice and leading submissions through the planning process. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and Local Planning Authorities to deliver commercially focused and strategic planning solutions. Key Responsibilities Leading and managing planning applications and appeals Conducting site appraisals and planning policy assessments Preparing Planning Statements and supporting documentation Acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders Liaising and negotiating with Local Planning Authorities and other key stakeholders Coordinating with multidisciplinary consultant teams Mentoring and supporting junior planners Candidate Requirements Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline MRTPI qualified Experience within a planning consultancy or in-house planning environment Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, with experience in London preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Exposure to a wide range of high-profile development projects Hybrid working arrangements Supportive and collaborative team environment Clear opportunities for career progression This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Town Planner looking to further their career within a leading property and advisory consultancy in London.
