Construction Design Lead (CDM 2015) – Major UK Infrastructure £70k-£80k + car allowance | 9‑day fortnight option Join a flagship new‑build energy programme and be the bridge between design and construction; embedding CDM from concept to handover. Strong CDM knowledge essential; civils and/or M&E/building‑services experience welcome. This is an urgent vacancy, so we are looking for someone to start ASAP. The role * Lead multi‑disciplinary design coordination and buildability * Embed CDM 2015 across all stages; identify/mitigate foreseeable risks * Own PCI and the Health & Safety File through the lifecycle * Run design reviews/workshops to resolve issues and drive progress * Review drawings/specs for compliance, quality and constructability * Support value engineering without compromising safety or standards * Collaborate with H&S on design risk assessments and residual risk comms * Engage stakeholders (client, contractors, authorities) and support approvals * Promote digital tools/BIM for clash detection, validation and visualisation * Support design QA, audits and continuous improvement About you * Deep, current knowledge of CDM Regulations in practice * Background in civils and/or M&E/building‑services/utilities * Strong coordination skills across designers, site and supply chain * Confident with risk, change and document control in large projects * Clear communicator; concise reporting and stakeholder engagement * Comfortable using BIM/digital review workflows * Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience * Eligible for standard site onboarding/vetting; safety‑first mindset Package * Salary up to £80,000 + £5,780 car allowance * 26 days’ holiday + bank holidays * 9‑day fortnight or traditional 5‑day week (your choice) * Private healthcare (individual cover), life assurance 4× salary, pension 5.75% employer contribution Location Bristol / Somerset (site‑based phases with some travel) Please send your CV today via CV‑Library.
