Late Shift Fixed Head Lathe Setter Operator

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced  Fixed Head Lathe Setter Operator to join their team on a late shift. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery and be part of a thriving engineering and manufacturing environment.   Key Highlights: Operate and maintain a range of fixed head lathes, including Puma, Myano and Mitsubishi and other industry-leading machines with Fanuc controls.  Collaborate with a talented team to ensure the efficient and reliable production of high-quality precision engineered components. Contribute to the continuous improvement of their manufacturing processes and take pride in your role within the company. Preferred Requirements: Proficient in setting up and operating fixed head lathes, with a strong understanding of Fanuc, and other relevant control systems. Experienced in performing tool changes, offsets, and other routine maintenance tasks to keep the machines running smoothly. Capable of troubleshooting and resolving minor issues that may arise during production, demonstrating a proactive and problem-solving mindset. Able to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless operations. Committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols. Preferred Qualifications: Formal training or certification in machining, with a focus on fixed head lathe operations. Previous experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing sector. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality, ensuring the production of high-precision components. Minimum of 12 months experience. The working hours for this role could be permanent late shift Monday to Thursday 14.00 - 22.00 Friday 14.00 - 20.00 or night shift 20.00 - 06.00 Monday to Thursday.
