We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist service in Surrey for experienced CAMHS Support Workers to join their bank of staff. This is a flexible, well-paid opportunity to support children and young people within a CAMHS setting. You will provide hands-on, person-centred support as part of a wider care team, ensuring a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment is maintained at all times. Day-to-day responsibilities will include: Providing practical, emotional, and social support to service users in line with their individual care plans Building therapeutic and trusting relationships with service users, promoting independence and wellbeing Supporting service users with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and community access Assisting with the implementation of positive behaviour support (PBS) strategies Monitoring and recording changes in service users' presentation, behaviour, and mental health, and escalating concerns appropriately Working collaboratively with the wider care team including nurses, therapists, and social workers Attending handovers, team meetings, and supervision sessions Maintaining accurate, up-to-date care records and documentation Supporting the delivery of structured activities and engagement programmes What we need from you Essential: Previous experience working in a mental health, social care, or support worker role A genuine commitment to person-centred, compassionate care Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills A reliable, resilient, and team-focused approach Authorised to work in the UK Desirable (but not always required): NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) Experience specifically within CAMHS or young people's mental health services PMVA or de-escalation training PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) training or awareness Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, ASD, or ADHD What you'll get from us: Competitive contract pay rates — discussed openly Flexible shifts to suit your availability A dedicated consultant who will match you to the right placements Full compliance and onboarding support Opportunities across a wide range of settings and client groups Genuine support throughout your placement Ready to take on your next support worker contract?
