Senior Account Manager


Lead Account Manager (Strategic Accounts) * Location: Home Based * Company : Large National Logistics Business A major logistics business is creating a new type of commercial role and we’re looking for someone with the mindset, strategic ability, rigour and commercial depth of top-tier Account Managers across the B2B sectors. This isn’t traditional logistics account management. This role is about owning and growing large, strategic contracts, leading commercial partnerships with major customers and building long-term Joint Business Plans that deliver measurable growth for both sides. You’ll operate as the commercial lead for key national accounts, influencing senior stakeholders, shaping strategy and ensuring delivery across complex logistics operations. The Opportunity You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of large, high-value customer contracts, acting as the primary commercial owner and relationship lead. Your role will include: * Owning and developing strategic customer partnerships * Building and delivering Joint Business Plans (JBP) * Driving revenue growth, retention and contract expansion * Leading commercial negotiations and performance reviews * Using data, insight and forecasting to guide commercial decisions * Aligning internal operational teams to deliver world-class service * Identifying opportunities to optimise and expand logistics solutions This is a high-profile role internally, with significant visibility and influence across both commercial and operational leadership The Profile We’re Looking For This role would suit someone with the commercial strength and structure of a well-trained National Account Manager, including: * Experience managing large national or strategic accounts * Strong experience building and executing Joint Business Plans * Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation capability * Strong forecasting, analytical and financial understanding * Confidence influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally * Ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Experience Consumer Goods or Complex B2B commercial roles could translate particularly well into this position.
