Quantity Surveyor – Consultancy (Client-Side) 📍 Based in Shrewsbury | Travel to London 1–2 days per week A growing construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Shrewsbury. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of client-side projects valued between £10m – £30m, providing both commercial management and bank monitoring services. This is a client-facing role suited to someone comfortable managing stakeholders and advising clients throughout the lifecycle of a project. The Role You will support the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion, providing cost management and fund monitoring services on behalf of clients and lenders. Key Responsibilities * Acting as client-side Quantity Surveyor on projects valued between £10m–£30m * Preparing cost plans, budgets, and financial reports * Managing procurement processes and tender documentation * Reviewing valuations, variations, and final accounts * Providing bank monitoring / fund monitoring services * Producing regular reports for clients and lenders * Attending site visits and meetings in London 1–2 days per week * Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships Requirements * Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy environment * Strong understanding of client-side cost management * Experience with bank monitoring / fund monitoring (desirable) * Excellent communication and client-facing skills * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline What’s on Offer * Opportunity to work on £10m–£30m developments * Mix of office, site, and client interaction * Flexible working with travel to London 1–2 days per week * Clear career progression within a growing consultancy If you’re a consultancy Quantity Surveyor looking for a client-side role with varied projects and strong client exposure, we’d love to hear from you
