Role – Sales Manager position Location – Based close to Thetford, Norfolk Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours Capacity of role – Permanent position Salary – up to £50,000 per annum Our client is leading manufacturer and currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to join their busy commercial team. This role is a pivotal and key appointment for the team, it is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop and use management techniques to grow with a reputable business. Applicants will be owning the national sales strategy, driving performance against monthly/quarterly/annual targets, mentor and upskill their team, ensure high quality technical consultations, and oversee timely and compliant handling of enquiries Main duties and responsibilities include – • Leading, mentoring, and motivating the national team to achieve sales KPIs and revenue targets. • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching sessions, and field visits. • Oversee team structure, territory allocation, workload balance, and performance improvement plans. • Support TSMs with complex specifications, presentations, pricing, and customer negotiations. • Develop and execute the UK sales strategy, aligned with business growth objectives. • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales results, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. • Drive new business development while ensuring high levels of existing account management. • Embed a consultative sales approach, focusing on technical value, compliance, and tailored solutions. • Manage pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, and conversion rates. • Ensure the team promptly and accurately handles incoming enquiries in line with Regulations • Oversee bespoke estimating and pricing through our proprietary pricing platform. • Deliver or support, technical presentations, and solution workshops. Candidate attributes - • Proven experience in B2B field sales • Strong leadership or team mentorship experience — either as a Sales Manager or a senior business developer ready to step up. • Understanding of processes, drawings, and compliance requirements. • Excellent consultative selling skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value. • Strong organisational and reporting skills with experience managing pipelines and KPIs.
